Ver el trabajo de Sandra Gajate es asomarse al interior de un mundo mágico, un mundo interior que nos invita a la introspección, al autodescubrimiento. La capacidad de encontrar un orden inesperado, una simetría que equilibre el universo, que encuentra y crea a la vez una belleza en lo cotidiano, con una observación, un registro del detalle, para convertirlo en algo propio al interior de la imaginación, guiado por estructuras estéticas propias, pero que se sirve de lugares comunes, a los que a veces, no sabemos que podemos llegar, pero una vez allí, nos resulta extrañamente familiar y confortable.

Sandra Gajate nace en Lima, Peru (1977), actualmente vive y  trabaja en Madrid como fotógrafa.

To see Sandra Gajate’s work is to peek inside a magical world, an inner world that invites us to introspection, to self-discovery. The ability to find an unexpected order, a symmetry that balances the universe, that finds and creates at the same time a beauty in the everyday, with an observation, a record of detail, to turn it into something of its own inside the imagination, guided by its own aesthetic structures, but that uses common places, to which sometimes, we do not know that we can get, but once there, it is strangely familiar and comfortable.
